Hi Friends! You know what I love the MOST about being a Baltimore-based planner? The many hidden gems Baltimore has to offer! And by gems, I mean historic venues, scenery and food!
Yesterday, I joined several event planners for a Planners Happy Hour at Ida B's Table in Baltimore, MD. We enjoyed good eats, compliments of Chef David, fine wine and beautiful spaces. Chef David presented us "modern soul food"...his culinary takes on classic soul food staples....shrimp and grits fritters, blackened scallops, teres major, to name a few...all while paying homeage to the late African-American journalist and activist, Ida B. Wells.
We ended the evening with a tour of their event spaces - The Parlor, Drawing Room and Studio 4! Each space had its own unique personality. And to top off all of this greatness, the restaurant and all of its event spaces are appropriately housed in the same historic Baltimore building as the Real News Network - complete with exposed brick, metal pipes and a view of Baltimore. Beautiful!
My favorite part - all parts! I loved the food, the spaces and of course, the networking! Cultured, eccentric, modern, and raw! Thank you Alexis Wilkins Events and Bird of Paradise Events for hosting yet another amazing networking event.
